Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
Terex provides Genie DC and Bi-Energy machines that are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. Like for example, in industrial settings where the machinery must travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the versatility and benefits of a diesel fueled generator using a 48 Volt DC equipment.
Several of the important features offered by this combination consist of over, out and up positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. Also, the zero tail-swing provided by most models, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
The proportional and drive controls provide the machine with smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an additional working range for specific tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is great for industrial applications and outdoor construction applications. This particular model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine over, up and out positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach provided by this model is the best in the market.
Diesel engine equipment on nearly all modes have an articulating boom which offers zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These equipment are ideal in narrow or small locations. Furthermore, they offer supreme power, exceptional torque and terrain and grade maneuverability. The diesel engines are generally quiet as well. The majority of models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to provide great flexibility on surfaces that are uneven and rough.
High ground clearance is offered in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom types are available and provide added range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models as well.
